Undressing Armoured Hearts

Lapping in the currents
Of oceans
Of green.

Dewdrops on blades
Tender
And sharp.

To the bone.
To the marrow.
A split
Hit center
Of gravity.

Footsteps through mud.
Beetles and armour.

Of armoured hearts
Coming together.

Gently rocking

Gently falling

Tumbling through leaves

Rainwater

Undress

Undressing armoured hearts.

Pulled through plasma and blood
Shed by tears
That flood
The plains of our existence.

Through galaxies and stars
We’re so used to being apart.

My armoured heart and yours.

Undress.
Undress.

Undressing armoured hearts.

Heartbeats.
Fragile flesh.
Wounded smiles.
Blood pumping.

Undressing armoured hearts.
My armoured heart and yours.
